Can I use it without the Clinical Practice System?
Yes, it is complete on its own. Paired, the Companion holds the cases, the Practice System reads the clinics, and the Case Index in each book cross-references the other.
How many cases does it hold?

How do I track a patient across follow-ups?
Through the Case Index. You log the patient once, then note every case number and page where they appear. However many times they return, you can find each visit in seconds.
What about patient confidentiality?
The Companion works with patient initials or local reference codes, never full patient data. It is a thinking tool that sits beside the EHR, not an official record. Carry and store it according to your confidentiality obligations and workplace policy, as you would any clinical paper.
